The service charge is kind of a non-story now
We just stuck this in for a place holder. We’ll put up a tourism story soon.
Not exactly, Admin
The service charge will/should move ahead, as it’s not totally dependent on the air carrier to implement. It’s a federal levy attached to the airport… and it hopefully will move forward so that it will be in place when the next carrier begins service to/from St. Augustine, and will collected from day 1 of the new service.
It’s been in the works since last year, it takes THAT long. Fed Gov’t ya know, lol. I don’t see it stopping now, but anything is possible!
We’ll keep the story up.
I asked AuggieNewsHound and he just thought the picture was funny.
