Be cautious when paying contractors

A 33 year old former employee of a DirecTV contractor collected over $500.00 for two DirecTV service calls that should have been free; one from an 86 year old Theodore Street resident and another from a Camden Cay Drive resident, according to a report filed yesterday morning with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office. No referendum on Airport Authority in November

Two motorcycles stolen in SR 207 area

April 29, 2008

Whispering Woods
Deputy Sheriff Ryan Smith was called to Whispering Woods Apartments yesterday morning to take a report of a stolen motorcycle; the second motorcycle reported stolen in the area over night.

According to the victim, sometime between 9:00 p.m. Sunday night and 9:00 a.m. Monday morning, the motorcycle, which was described as chrome and silver color, disappeared from the parking lot near the victim’s apartment. Read more
