When a boat and its four passengers capsized in the Atlantic Ocean at Matanzas inlet yesterday, one of those stranded on a sandbar attempted the dangerous maneuver of swimming through the strong currents to shore.

Retail theft leads to arrest

A 21 year old St. Augustine resident is in jail this morning pending $200.00 bail for the theft of two bags, two tank tops and a pair of jean shorts from Bealls Department Store located in Cobblestone Village Shopping Center. Read more
COA vehicles burglarized

St. Johns County Council on Aging reported that during the night last night, two COA vehicles were burglarized while parked at 1965 A1A South. The vehicles were secured at approximately 6:00 p.m. last night and were discovered to have been burglarized this morning at about 7:00 a.m. Read more
