SJCC benefits from dinner and a movie

April 23, 2008

Big Bad Swim
Monday, April 28, Gypsy Cab and the St. Johns Cultural Council have teamed up to present the first movie for their Cultural Film Series.

A portion of the $25 per person ticket price will benefit the St. Johns Cultural Council and support their operations according to an announcement received by Historic City Media.

“Dinner and a movie” debuts with a 2006 American independent film, “The Big Bad Swim”. An adult swim class sets the stage for this sexually charged comedy-drama about love, loss, and second chances. Three strangers-inextricably connected through personal heartbreak-find themselves entering deep water as they learn that life isn’t always about diving right in — it’s about getting your feet wet once in awhile.

Dinner starts at 6:00 p.m. with the movie starting at 7:00 p.m.

For reservations, please call 904-824-8244.

Report from St. Johns Cultural Council:

We had a full house at our first Dinner and a Movie this past Monday night.

We’d like to thank Gregory von Hausch from the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, Ned Pollack, Pat Morrisey, Sarah Geraci and all the folks at Gypsy Cab Company for making the night such a success.

Without their help, the night would have never happened! Our next Dinner and a Movie will be Monday, May 19 and no, we’re not taking reservations yet!
