Seventeen year old charged with sexual battery

In a report received by Historic City Media from Kevin Kelshaw, Media Resource Officer with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, we are informed that a 17-year old St. Johns County juvenile was arrested Thursday evening on charges that he committed sexual battery on a person under 12 years of age and that he committed a lewd and lascivious act on a person under the age of 16. Snatch-and-grab suspect arrested

Historic City Media was notified by Sheriff’s Office Media Resource Officer Kevin Kelshaw that a 32-year old St. Johns County man was arrested on two counts of robbery by sudden snatching, one count of petit theft and four counts of violation of probation Wednesday afternoon.
The suspect, identified as William Edward Koenig, 32, 260 Old Village Center Cr., was booked into the St. Johns County Jail where he remains held without bond. Read more
Harassing calls land caller in jail

An 18-year old St. Johns County man was arrested Thursday afternoon on 16 counts of harassing telephone calls according to a report received by Historic City Media from Kevin Kelshaw; Media Resource Officer with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.
The suspect, identified as Robert Benjamin Rush, 18, 1722 Heatherwood Dr., St. Johns, was booked into the County Jail and released Thursday evening after posting bonds totaling $8,000 on the 16 misdemeanor charges. Read more

Bomb scare proved to be false alarm

Wednesday evening at about 8:00 p.m. the information desk at the St. Augustine Outlet Mall, located on S. R. 16 west of I – 95, reported to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office that they had received an anonymous bomb threat.
Mall security stated to Deputy Sheriff James Hayward that a caller, described as a “male voice that was hard to understand”, told him that “there was a bomb at the NIKE store”. When the security officer asked the caller to repeat themselves, they hung up the telephone instead. Read more
