Moultrie Creek Boat Ramp to be closed for construction

The St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department has announced the Moultrie Creek Boat Ramp will be closed for approximately 60 days to accommodate construction. Renovations will include a new boat ramp, wooden and floating docks, a canoe/kayak launch area, new parking area, new entrance road and a paved trail from the boat ramp to the Moultrie Creek Scenic Overlook. Arrest in capital sexual battery case

According to a report received by Historic City News this morning, a 39-year old St. Johns County man was arrested on a charge of capital sexual battery Tuesday evening. Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw says that the suspect, identified as Ricky Eugene Luke, 39, was booked into the County Jail where he remains on $100,000 bond following a first appearance hearing this morning. Burglary and theft charges land suspect in jail

Sheriff’s Office Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News this afternoon that a 25-year old man was arrested on two counts each of burglary and grand theft as well as one count of petit theft Monday evening. Read more
