In a media update received by Historic City News this afternoon, Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida announced that June 15th marked the start of their new Text Messages program. These “text tips” from cell phones are part of Crime Stoppers anonymous tipster program in St Johns, Volusia, Flagler, and Putnam counties. Read more

Starbucks store closings announced

July 18, 2008

On July 1, 2008, Starbucks will close approximately 600 company-operated stores in the U.S. beginning this month and continuing through the first half of fiscal year 2009. According to a listing received by Historic City News from Starbucks yesterday, only the CR 210 store at Nature Walk is including in the first round of cuts. Read more
