Historic City News photographer Mark Cubbedge attended last night’s concert of the English progressive rock band “YES” at the St Augustine Amphitheatre; another of many first quality entertainment productions that have begun including St Johns County on their tours.

Performing last night was singer Jon Davison, bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Steve Howe, drummer Alan White and keyboardist Geoff Downes; although more than a dozen artists have performed with the group over the years.

“YES” is best known for their lengthy songs, mystical lyrics, elaborate album art, and live stage sets.

Cubbedge captured some great shots including guitarist Steve Howe performing during the song “Yours Is No Disgrace”, bassist Chris Squire, who has been with the English band since its inception, and drummer Alan White as he finished off one of the band’s hits Saturday night at the St Augustine Amphitheatre.
