Detectives return to Queen Road for drug search

400-207-Queen-RoadSheriff’s spokesman Catherine Payne reported to Historic City News that a search warrant was served this afternoon at a residence in St Augustine South where evidence of an inactive methamphetamine lab was uncovered.

Detectives with the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigative Unit and the Clandestine Lab Enforcement Team seared the home at 207 Queen Road as part of an ongoing investigation.

Once inside the residence the key components to manufacture methamphetamine were located. Investigators also discovered an inactive lab.

The investigation is continuing and charges are pending against two residents of the home.
