September 5, 2012 | By More

Did you know that Historic City News readers who are St Augustine or St Johns County residents with a photo ID are eligible to receive free or discounted admission at many of the area’s most popular attractions?

The next time you have friends or family visiting St Augustine; consider showing them the city in style and you will ride free with your “Hometown Pass” on the Old Town Trolley. Local Historic City News readers register for their pass for free and then ride the trolley for free when accompanied by a paid passenger. Free parking is provided for the day.

St. Johns County residents who purchase a full-price admission to the St Augustine Lighthouse can request a pass that grants them free admission for an entire year.

Admission is free for local residents at the Oldest House, the Lightner Museum, the Fountain of Youth (special events excluded), the Ximenez-Fatio House, the Oldest Wooden Schoolhouse, Spanish Military Hospital Museum, and the Historic Tours of Flagler College.

The daily tours and wine tastings at the San Sebastian Winery are free to everyone as are admissions at the Authentic Old Drug Store, Fort Matanzas National Monument, St Photios Chapel, the Pena-Peck House, the Father Miguel O’Reilly Museum and the Mission Nombre de Dios Museum.
