Supervisor says many voters not voting

August 14, 2012 | By | Comments More

VICKY OAKESVoting continues in 46 precincts in St Johns County at a slow pace this Election Day, with about 10,000 ballots cast as of 3:30 p.m., according to Supervisor of Elections Vicky Oakes.

“Today, you may vote until 7:00 p.m. when the polls close; but, you must vote at the precinct of your legal residence,” Oakes told Historic City News reporters.  “Changes necessitated by redistricting may have caused your precinct number and polling location to have changed, so know where you vote before you go.”

Oakes welcomed questions and concerns from St Johns County voters and said that if you need assistance, please contact her office.  “We look forward to serving you,” Oakes said.
