The man whose personal archives are the foundation for the Civil Rights Library of St Augustine, Flagler College’s new Internet-based multimedia archive documenting the St Augustine Civil Rights Movement, will speak at Flagler College on September 19th as part of the College’s “Ideas and Images” program.
Civil Rights activist Andrew Young, a United States Ambassador to the United Nations, worked under the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. and was highly involved in civil rights protests in St Augustine during the Civil Rights Movement in the early 1960′s.
“A Conversation with Andrew Young” will take place on September 19th at 7:00 p.m. in the Lewis Auditorium at Flagler College located at 14 Granada Street in St Augustine.
The College presents the visiting scholars and artists programs to the greater St Augustine community free of charge; featuring a sought-after mix of international artists and authors.
