On October 1, no matter how Congress tries to delay or fumble, the Affordable Care Act, nicknamed “ObamaCare”, will go into effect. Rabbi Merrill Shapiro of Palm Coast reported to Historic City News that the Flagler County Democratic Club will gather in celebration of the first day in front of the Flagler County Health Department.
Americans will begin signing up for the health insurance exchanges on Tuesday, October 1st. They’ll choose one of four tiered-health plans, from “bronze” up to “platinum”.
While rallying on behalf of the new health program, participants will be protesting what Shapiro described as Governor Rick Scott’s obstruction to seeing that every Floridian has access to the finest health care.
If you would like to be involved, Shapiro invites the public to gather at the south end of Lemon Street; at 301 Dr. Carter Boulevard in Bunnell, from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m.
