Historic City News was updated this morning by Kathy Weed, Volunteer Coordinator and Immediate Past President of Children’s Museum St. Johns, about their success at Ancient City Kids Day 2008.
What a great time we had at the Children’s Museum of St. Johns First Great Bubble Blow-Out! Everything was great, from the weather (the go-away rain dances worked!), to the set up, and mostly to the fun that was had by everyone who visited the CMSJ booth. Once again, CMSJ presented an excellent, high quality exhibit for our community.
Of course none of this would have been possible without all of you, our phenomenal volunteers! Thank you all so much for giving your time, talent and smiling faces to CMSJ and for helping to make The Great Bubble Blow-Out a huge success.
We had a total of 34 volunteers on last Saturday! I would like to personally thank each of you for your help! My plan was to take a picture of each group of volunteers so that we could put the photos in this newsletter, but our booth got a bit busy and I was not able to get pictures of everyone! Some of you were brand new helpers and others have helped CMSJ out in the past, and some of you stayed above and beyond your hours to help us out-thanks!
Our Helping Hands Volunteers were Mackenzie Peil, Lisa Herman, Alison Glomboski, Esther Pielstick, Kerianne Constant, Dylan Knox, Carla Pielstick, Catie Neige, Noah Kemp, Tara Gannon, Audrey Stephens, Nanette Witherspoon, Becky Moller, Maggie Stephens, Jacqueline Brown, Aaron Moller, Kristen Garino, Jay Weed, Andy Jackson and Chris Philcox.
The members of the Board of Directors of CMSJ were also out in full force to help on Saturday! A huge thanks to all of you for another great CMSJ exhibit! Current Board members include Wendy Philcox, Jenni Jackson, Kathy Marquis, Elena Laguardia, Susan Connor, Mary Anne Dufrain, Charlene Cross, Cindy Wilson, Jennifer Koppman, Nancy Thompson, Beth Lambert and Renee Sickels.
CMSJ is looking forward to seeing you all again at our upcoming events!
Thank you all again, without our volunteers CMSJ could not do all of the wonderful things we have planned for our community. All of you make CMSJ possible!
