Samuel Taylor
17-year old St. Johns County male juvenile was arrested on a charge of home invasion robbery early this morning according to a Historic City News release from Kevin Kelshaw, SJSO Media Relations Officer.

Deputies responded to a report of a home invasion at a residence in the 2800 block of North Fourth St. at 9:00 a.m. this morning

The 23-year old female victim stated that she heard a knock on the front door at 8:30 a.m. and she opened it.

The victim was immediately attacked by a subject wearing black pants, a green and yellow jacket and a “Scream” movie mask.

The suspect allegedly knocked the female to the floor and put her in a choke hold.

The victim attempted to break free but was unable to do so and the suspect demanded money.

He then dragged her into the living room where the victim’s purse was and removed about $100 in cash.

The suspect then fled out the front door.

The victim told the deputy that she recognized the suspect’s voice as an acquaintance she met a several months ago. She also identified a necklace on the suspect.

The suspect, identified as Samuel Earl Taylor, 17, 97 Irving St., was located at St. Augustine High School a short time later. He was still wearing the same clothing and necklace that the victim described. Taylor was charged with home invasion robbery and transported to the St. Johns River Juvenile Detention Facility.
