National Poetry Month events continue

Historic City News has learned that Poet Plant Press, Ancient City Poets and Jane’s Stories Press Foundation will present a community poetry jam to help you celebrate your inner poet.

The event will feature both student and adult readings (no slam or profanity, please).

Featured readers include Ann Browning Masters, Dorothy Loop, Former Mayor George Gardner, Kimmy Van Kooten, Jennifer Perkins, Dr. Jim Wilson, Dr Tamara Wilson, City Commissioner Nancy Sikes-Kline, JoAnne Engelbert and Glenda Bailey-Mershon.

The community poetry jam is scheduled for April 25, 2009 from 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Visitor Information Center theatre located at Castillo Drive & San Marco Avenue.
