Stevenson receives re-appointment


Historic City News learned today that Governor Charlie Crist has appointed seven members to the Florida Legislative Committee on Intergovernmental Relations — including St. Johns County Commissioner Cynthia W. Stevenson.

Stevenson, 48, who resides in Fruit Cove, was reappointed for a term beginning January 23, 2009, and ending November 2, 2010.

Also appointed were:

· Herbert E. Polson, 60, of St. Petersburg, City Councilman for the City of St. Petersburg, reappointed for a term beginning January 23, 2009, and ending November 2, 2010.

· Lisa Saliba, 46, of Tallahassee, policy coordinator with the Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget, reappointed for a term beginning January 23, 2009, and ending November 2, 2010.

· Fredrick W. Costello, 58, of Ormond Beach, Mayor of the City of Ormond Beach, to succeed Joanna Cunningham, appointed for a term beginning January 23, 2009, and ending November 2, 2010.

· Michael J. McLean, 51, of Lake Mary, Seminole County Commissioner, to succeed Robert Stewart, appointed for a term beginning January 23, 2009, and ending November 2, 2010.

· William J. Montford, 61, of Tallahassee, chief executive officer of Florida Association of District School Superintendents, to succeed Susan Hershey, appointed for a term beginning January 23, 2009, and ending November 2, 2010.

· Thomas G. Pelham, 65, of Tallahassee, Secretary of the Florida Department of Community Affairs, to succeed Kelly Layman, appointed for a term beginning January 23, 2009, and ending November 2, 2010.
