Historic City News local reporters will be on hand for the St. Augustine City Commission’s budget workshop that is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, August 24th at 9:00 a.m.

The workshop will be held in the Alcazar Room located in City Hall at 75 King Street.

City staff will give a presentation of the proposed 2010-2011 budget to the mayor and commissioners.

This workshop is an opportunity for the commissioners to review the proposed budget and make necessary adjustments after receiving reports from staff. The public is invited to attend, however, since it’s a workshop, public input is not on the agenda.

The budget hearings will be held on Thursday, September 9th and Thursday, September 23rd at 5:05 p.m. in the Alcazar Room.

The budget will receive final approval at the second meeting held on September 23rd.
