The Oxfam Hunger Banquet brings to life the inequalities in our world. Organizers and participants alike can experience firsthand how our decisions affect others in the world. More than one billion people suffer from chronic hunger. More people die from hunger each year than from AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis combined. Tuesday, April 5, from 7:30pm-10pm, Flagler College’s Human Rights Advocates will be sponsoring a Hunger Banquet. The Hunger Banquet will be held in the Flagler College Student Center’s Virginia Room, located at 50 Sevilla Street, St. Augustine, Florida. All of the funds raised will be donated to the local homeless shelter, the St. Francis House.We believe our efforts can end poverty and injustice. We invite YOU to join us.
