Republican Womens Club meets May 18

Club President Liliana Kurpanik, reminds Historic City News readers that the Spring Membership Drive continues until June 1st for the Republican Women’s Club of St. Johns County.

“You can win a $40 gas card if you bring in 2 NEW members,” according to Kurpanik. “Win a $75 gas card if you bring in 3 NEW members.” Kurpanik said that the membership drive is applicable to current RWC members and that qualified new members must be paid up by 6/1/11 to receive prize.

In other news, this month’s new meeting place will be TGIFridays, located at 318 State Road 312 East in St. Augustine. Lunch will be $15; member or guest.

Jamie Davis, Director of the Jacksonville Chapter of the Tenth Amendment Center, will be Guest Speaker for the monthly luncheon Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Social begins at 11:30 a.m. followed by the meeting at noon.

The Tenth Amendment Center is a national think tank that works to preserve and protect the principles of strictly limited government through information, education, and activism. The Center serves as a forum for the study and exploration of state and individual sovereignty issues, focusing primarily on the decentralization of federal government power as required by the Constitution.
