The first public hearing on the fiscal 2012 tentative millage rate will be held in the School Board auditorium, in the same building as the workshop, and will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Staff will make a presentation of the proposed 2011-2012 St. Johns County School District tentative millage and budget then will open a public hearing.

Staff will request that the Board adopt the tentative millage rate for the required local effort, basic discretionary and capital improvement to be used for the purpose of preparing TRIM notices later this month.

Staff will request adoption of the 2011-2012 St. Johns County School District’s tentative budget; including a request for the approval of cell phone supplements as well as approval of out-of-state travel.

During tonight’s meeting, the Board will establish the date and time of the final budget hearing.
