The North Florida Transportation Planning Organization has invited Historic City News readers to attend a public information meeting to discuss the St. Augustine Bicycle Study to be held on Thursday, May 26th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The meeting will be held in the Alcazar Room of the Lightner Building located at 75 King Street in St. Augustine. The public will have the opportunity to view and comment on proposed bike routes and bicycle parking locations serving community destinations around St. Augustine.
A draft of the plan report, including detailed route recommendations, a way finding signage protocol, and an analysis of bicycle crashes in St. Augustine will also be available for review.
Items presented at the meeting will be available on the North Florida TPO website at www.northfloridatpo.com.
The North Florida TPO handles a wide range of initiatives and projects that include the long range transportation plan; a Transportation Improvement Program; Cool to Pool car and vanpool program; freight mobility and congestion management studies; coalitions for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Clean Cities; forums on integrating land use and transportation, public private partnerships, global trade and transportation, to name a few. The TPO is governed by a 15-member board of elected officials and transportation agency representatives.
