St Johns attorney among six disbarred

The Florida Bar announced to Historic City News in St Augustine that the Florida Supreme Court recently ordered 20 attorneys disciplined; including St Johns attorney, 45 year-old Gregg Adam Steinberg, who was among six disbarred and ten suspended from the practice of law.

Following an October 7th court order, Steinberg, who resides at 4441 ComancheTrail Boulevard in Saint Johns, has been disbarred — retroactively effective as of August 30, 2010. Steinberg had been admitted to practice in 1993.

In Florida Bar Case No. SC10-161, the court found that Steinberg knowingly made false statements in court under oath; he failed to disclose that he was the subject of a pending criminal investigation, he misappropriated funds; and he engaged in a pattern of blaming others in an attempt to deflect attention from himself.
