April voter outreach program starts tomorrow

St Johns County Supervisor of Elections Vicky Oakes announced to local Historic City News reporters that tomorrow she and her staff would be visiting the Wednesday Market between 8:00 a.m. and noon as part of her new “Voter Outreach Program”.

Through this outreach program, Oakes says residents of St Johns County can register to vote, update their voter record, request an absentee ballot or obtain elections information through convenient kiosks manned by members of the elections office staff.

“We are really enjoying getting out into our communities; meeting people, and providing our services to St Johns County residents,” Oakes told reporters. “We have a number of events scheduled during the month of April – so I encourage everyone to check the Event calendar listed on our website for dates, time, and locations.”

The voter outreach event tomorrow, April 4th, will be held at the St Johns County Pier at St Augustine Beach.

“The response is great and people are so appreciative that we are now providing our services in ways that are more convenient to them,” Oakes said.
