FBI trains investigators about bomb crime scenes

Historic City News learned that twenty-eight federal, military, state and local law enforcement agents from Florida and Georgia are wrapping up a weeklong Post-blast Investigator School that includes specialized training in processing “small-bomb” crime scenes.

Under highly controlled conditions off Big Oak Road, the Federal Bureau of Investigation conducted several enactments of real-life bombing exercises; safely and without incident.

Explosives experts from the FBI Laboratory in Quantico, Virginia are guest instructors for the classroom portion of the training at the First Coast Technical College in St Augustine.
