Laurie Sanderson reported the following St. Augustine and St. Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
Downtown St. Augustine: Avenida Menendez and the Bridge of Lions will be closed to motorists from the Castillo de San Marcos to the east end of the Bridge of Lions from 7:30 a.m. to 8:15 a.m. Saturday during the Bridge of Lions 5K event. Motorists may also encounter temporary delays east of the bridge along Gerado Street, Arpieka Avenue, St. Augustine Boulevard, Inlet Drive, Zorayda Avenue, Oglethorpe Boulevard, Comares Avenue, Flagler Boulevard and Alcazar Street. Motorists are advised to use the State Road 312 bridge as an alternate route.

State Road 207: Daytime shoulder closures for delivery of equipment and materials to construct a multi-use trail from Armstrong Road to Old State Road 207 in Spuds.

Pedestrians are advised to avoid the east bridge.
