“Each year, Romanza Week in St Augustine relies on the energy, experience, and enthusiasm of its volunteers to help make these world-class arts, cultural and heritage events a success,” president Albert Syeles told Historic City News.
With this year’s multi-day, multi-arts celebration of the music, dance, theater, art and cuisine of Spanish St Augustine, Romanza Week, Monday-Sunday May 14-20, will feature over 50 shows and exhibitions that showcase the remarkable living culture of the Nation’s Oldest City at a variety of venues around the community.
Volunteer positions for the upcoming festival include the following:
• Assisting with various Romanza Week projects in the development department
• Serving on Romanza Week special events committees and assisting with the events
• Ushering at Romanza Week performances
During the Festival, evening hours, Saturdays and Sundays are available. We are actively recruiting volunteers for the 2012 Events now. You can send us an email with your interests at any time RomanzaFL@Gmail.com
Volunteering for Romanza Week is a fun and rewarding experience. Join us and help make a difference for these great events and our community.
Host A Party
During the period leading up to Romanza Week, parties are held in private homes and gardens throughout St Johns County to recognize the major donors and performers who are vital to the success of the festival. These festive events range from pre-performance cocktail parties to sumptuous brunches, to parties in honor of the artists following their performances. If you love to entertain and would like to open your home to artists and Romanza patrons, please contact Romanza at RomanzaFL@Gmail.com
House An Artist
Each season Romanza relies on contributions of complimentary or reduced-rate housing to accommodate artists and performers. Housing needs range from apartments, carriage houses, and condos to homes downtown and at St. Augustine-area beaches. If you have an empty vacation home, apartment, condo, or carriage house, or if you are willing to donate some or all of the rental fees on your property, please contact RomanzaFL@Gmail.com
Join the Romanza Week circle of supporters by making a gift today. As a non-profit organization, Romanza relies on the generosity of donors – people just like you – to highlight accessible arts, embrace creative collaboration, and engage, entertain and stimulate audiences.
Romanza works with leading companies to develop unique partnerships with a variety of marketing, activation and client-hosting opportunities. Together, we can identify specific programming alignments for sponsors to activate. Let us know your core objectives and budget, and we will recommend best fits with our programming and sponsorship levels, and propose effective investment concepts.
