Amedisys Healthcare Class: Sleeping Problems
Monday, June 4 @ 10:30 am – Having problems sleeping? If so, please join us as staff from Amedisys Home Health Care will be on hand to teach us all we need to know about sleeping through the night.

Teen Council
Tuesday, June 5th @ 6 pm – Hey teens, do you want to provide input for teen programs? Talk, eat, and make a difference at the Teen Council. We will be preparing for the grand opening of the new Galaxy Game Room. Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Library.

St. Augustine Travel Club presents: Istanbul – East Meets West

Tables full of books of all kinds will be on sale with most priced at $1 or less. In addition to books, other items such as DVDs, CDs, VHS tapes, and audiobooks will be available. The FOL Bookstore will be open during the same hours with the same low prices.

Teen/Tween Summer Kick-Off
Friday, June 8 @ 2 pm – “Own the Night” this summer at the grand opening of our brand new teen gaming lounge: The Galaxy Room! Plus, enjoy pizza and pick up your summer reading logs.

Middle Eastern Dance Class
Saturday, June 9 @ 2 pm – Join us for an afternoon of dance and culture with Instructor Liz Rizzolo. This class is FREE and no previous experience is required.

Teen Dream Journal Craft
Tuesday, June 12 @ 6 pm – Teens and tweens are invited to transform a boring composition notebook into a creative journal to record their dreams. We will talk about dream interpretation and dream recording as well. All supplies provided by of the Friends of the Library.

Last Day of School Ice Cream Party
Wednesday, June 13 @ 4 pm – Kids, come and make yourself the biggest ice cream sundae you ever dreamed of and join us in celebrating the beginning of our Dream Big, READ summer reading program. Pick up your summer reading logs and let the summer fun begin!

Family Fun with Flowers

FLYP Program: Fractured Fairytales
Wednesday, June 20 @ 10 am – What would happen if Cinderella’s carriage never showed up? How did Peter Pan manage to stay young forever? Find out in this comical musical theater story. Movie Night
Thursday, June 21 @ 6 pm – This newly released movie starring Drew Barrymore, tells the story of a small town news reporter and a Greenpeace volunteer who are joined by others to save a family of majestic gray whales trapped by rapidly forming ice in the Arctic Circle. Snacks and light refreshments will be provided.

Snack Attack Club
Fridays: June 22 & 29 @ 2 pm
Get your required reading done the easy way! Kids going into grades 3rd-5th are invited to join the Snack Attack every Friday starting June 22-August 3. Enjoy a light snack and the chance to listen to the SSYRA book Guinea Dog.

Teen Financial Literacy
Saturday, June 23 @ 10 am-3:30 pm – Whether you are starting your first job, graduating from high school, or heading off to college, every teen should learn how to manage money. The St. Johns River Chapter of Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and SJCPLS are teaming up to offer this full day workshop to young adults, ages 15-20. American Red Cross: First Aid & CPR Instruction for Adults
Thursday, June 28 from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm – All adults are encouraged to learn the basic skills to help in an emergency! Learn how to recognize and respond to an emergency during the American Red Cross-offered course. Registration is required and there is a fee. Please call 1-800-733-2767.

Book Club: The Orphan Master’s Son
