Flagler College reported to Historic City News this morning that Dr Yvan Kelly has been promoted to the position of Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs. He was formerly the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
Kelly joined the faculty in 1989 as an instructor in Economics; he subsequently earned the rank of associate professor. During his career at Flagler College, he has also served as chair of the Department of Business Administration and interim dean of Academic Affairs.
“Associate Vice President Kelly has served the college with diligence, compassion and distinction,” President Dr. William T. Abare Jr. told local reporters. “His promotion recognizes his many contributions to the academic program, the general administration of the college and the student body.”
A graduate of the University of Central Florida, Kelly earned his master’s degree at Auburn University and his Ph.D. from Northcentral University.
