Library Advisory Board welcomes new member

300-SJC-PUBLIC-LIBRARYOn Tuesday, March 17, 2015, Historic City News reporters were informed that Kathleen F. Cohen of Ponte Vedra Beach was appointed by the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners to represent District 4 on the Library Advisory Board.

Cohen, a St Johns County resident for the past 14-years, earned her Master of Library Science degree from Florida State University in August of 1970.

She worked at the University of North Florida, Thomas G. Carpenter Library, where she retired as Associate Dean of the Library in 2009.

The Library Advisory Board holds public meetings at 9:30 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month. Interested citizens are invited to attend.

The Library Advisory Board is a volunteer citizen board, created in 1977. They serve the citizens and the library as a liaison with the St Johns County Board of Commissioners.
