The driver was 24-year-old Haley Elizabeth Adams who resides at 4951 Avenue B in St Augustine. According to the crash report, she suffered incapacitating injuries and was transported by Rescue 14 to Flagler Hospital.
The vehicle, a blue 2002 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck, that sustained disabling damage estimated at about $2,500, belongs to Georgiana Lynette Adams at 4921 Avenue B.
Her passenger, 27-year-old Nicole L Branson, also of St Augustine, sustained possible injuries, the severity of which are unknown. She was also transported to Flagler Hospital.
According to Investigating Officer Patrick Harvey, the pickup truck was traveling westbound on Cathedral Place approaching the intersection of Cordova Street. The driver suffered an apparent medical incident while at the wheel. The vehicle left the roadway and drove up onto the curb. The vehicle crossed Cordova and the front of the vehicle struck a Coquina fence pillar that is owned by Flagler College.
Both the driver and passenger were transported to Flagler Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The truck was removed from the pillar and towed from the scene by Cheshire Customs.
The driver was charged with driving while license suspended or revoked with prior knowledge.
Over the past six-years since March 10, 2010, in St Johns County alone, Adams has been arrested on thirteen separate occasions with multiple arrests including drug and drug equipment possession, production of drugs, methamphetamine possession, shoplifting, larceny, trespassing, and probation violation. She currently remains in custody at the St Johns County Detention Facility without bond.
