June 22, 2016

16-19750 – A victim of vandalism reported that some unknown person punctured her tire with a drill bit. She drove to a tire store where she spent $261 to replace the tire. There are no witnesses or suspects reported at this time.

16-19779 – Officer W. Ferrell arrived on West 8th Street at the scene of a domestic disturbance between 34-year-old Tiffany F. Freeman and her boyfriend. As officers attempted to separate the combatants, a white plastic baggie containing cocaine fell from Freeman’s shirt. When she realized what had happened, Freeman ran from officers. She was apprehended and charged with possession of cocaine and resisting arrest without violence.

16-19790 – A 38-year-old Bay Street resident, Jason Pierce, was arrested for domestic battery and theft of an automobile.

16-19814 – Laurence Jefferson Mattox, a 44-year-old homeless man, was arrested for Drinking in Public at 7:54 a.m. Police took him to the St Johns County Detention Facility where he remains until July 1st. For the past year, every three to four weeks, sometimes more frequently, Mattox is arrested on one or more misdemeanor charges, incarcerated, and then released — just to start the cycle over again.

June 23, 2016

16-19815 – A resident at Vista Cove reported someone had taken her bicycle off of her front porch and left an old bike in its place. Her bike was a Panama Jack bike, it was white and green and is valued at $150. The bike that was left was an orange James Quest mountain bike. There were no fingerprints, witnesses or suspects.

16-19817 – A second resident at Vista Cove reported that someone broke into her locked car and rummaged through glove compartment, nothing seemed to be missing. Victim feels that she secured the vehicle and still had both sets of keys. There are no witnesses or suspects. No latent prints were found.

16-19850 – Wayne Rowland, 63, w/m, homeless was arrested for having an open container of vodka in the Plaza. He was issued a city citation for the violation and transported to the county jail.

June 24, 2016

16-19318 – Cpl. Jeff Truncellito towed an abandoned 2006 Chevy truck that was left on Cathedral Place. The truck had several parking tickets and was Red Tagged as well. “Red Tag” is a term law enforcement uses when it comes to vehicles being in one place too long. The notice states; if not moved within 48 hours it will be towed. City Code 24-45.

16-19905 – Officer D. Lui responded to a w/m that was down on the ground on May Street. Fire and Rescue was on-scene performing CPR. Rescue transported the male to Flagler Hospital. The victim had no ID with him at the time of the call.

16-19908 – The victim of a burglary reported that she accidentally left her garage door open. The following morning she found a blue Pacific Beach Cruiser, valued at $250, an Orange Toucan Mango Beach Cruiser valued at $375, and black 3/4 shell Harley Davidson motorcycle helmet valued at $200 all missing from her garage. There are no suspects or witnesses.

16-19928 A 27-year-old Miami man, Amr Boubakri, was arrested for defrauding an innkeeper and obtaining property by impersonation after he ran up a bill of $1,900 at the Conch House, where he has been staying since June 17th. Boubakri, who gave the address of 1300 Washington Ave Miami, FL 33139, remains in custody in lieu of $10,000 bond.

16-19956 – Judith Romaine, w/f, 63, Oglethorpe Blvd. was arrested for battering two men as they returned from a doctor Visit. The report read that Ms. Romaine was extremely intoxicated; she was delivered to the county jail without incident.

16-20003 – Lashanda Washington, 47, b/f from Augusta, Georgia was arrested for disorderly intoxication at 427 Anastasia Blvd.
