Ali Fulcher wants to remind Historic City News readers of a fun way to begin your Thanksgiving Day and benefit St. Francis House at the same time — the seventh annual “Shut Up and Run” event.Seven years ago, runner Sally Howes created a small three-mile race on Thanksgiving Day so people could feel a little less guilty for eating an extra slice of pie.Howes is a member of Ancient City Road Runners; a group of runners that meet up several times during the week to run.
