Results of Mobility Institute released
Historic City News has learned that over 200 people were drawn to public meetings during the week of September 17-21 to attend the “St Augustine Mobility Institute” a weeklong intensive effort to learn about mobility challenges along the city’s three entrance corridors; King Street, San Marco Avenue, and Anastasia Boulevard.

Local Republicans denounce Charlie Crist
During the regular business meeting of the St Johns County Republican Executive Committee Thursday evening, Secretary and Executive Board member Eric West, read to the membership a resolution denouncing Florida’s former Republican Governor, Charlie Crist: apparently in response a speaking appearance at the Democratic National Convention.
Hit-and-run victims stable
Traffic Homicide Investigators have informed local Historic City News reporters that a motorcyclist, first believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries in a vehicle-vs-motorcycle crash, is now known to be in stable condition at Orange Park Medical Center.
US-1 traffic shift starts Wednesday night
Historic City News readers are advised that motorists traveling northbound on US-1 will begin using the new bridge over the San Sebastian River between Saragossa Street and King Street by 7:00 a.m. Thursday morning, according to an announcement received from the Florida Department of Transportation.
