Community invited to visit FSDB campus
Communications Director Miki Kristina Gilloon invited Historic City News readers to attend a free open house event to learn more about the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind being held October 3 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on campus in the Kirk Auditorium.






Sandra Parks announced to local Historic City News reporters that on Saturday October 6, the St Johns River Farmers Market at Alpine Groves Park would host a special celebration for two famous men who lived along the Bartram Trail; Woody Guthrie and Stetson Kennedy.

During the Monday night meeting of the St Augustine City Commission, Historic City News learned from a presentation by Daniel D Holiday how his dream of creating a replica 17th century Spanish caravel from a 30-year-old retired shrimp trawler is becoming a reality.
During the Friday meeting of the Historic St Augustine Area Council of the St Johns County Chamber of Commerce, President Len Weeks introduced a crowd of about 40-50 members and guests to the two candidates for city commission that will appear on the November 6 ballot.
