Miner takes second leave of office
At the tender age of 25 years-old, St Johns County commissioner Mark Partridge Miner, armed with a political campaign war chest of $63,582, defeated a commissioner who many felt was too arrogant, unstable, and unfit to serve a second term.








The Sheriff’s Office is asking Historic City News readers in St Augustine and St Johns County for assistance identifying and locating two suspected burglars captured on surveillance video recently in the Fruit Cove area of northwest St Johns County.

Emily Jane Murray reported to Historic City News in St Augustine the following entertaining and educational programs at Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve during the coming month.
Chamber spokesman, Beau Phillips, confirmed with Historic City News the participant candidates for public office in St Johns County who will be part of Politics in St Johns, tomorrow, July 19, at Francis Field on West Castillo Drive in St Augustine.
Despite the fact that St Augustine and St Johns County residents are admitted without charge at Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park to see the 16th century shipbuilding living exhibit, St Augustine Port Waterway and Beach District refused a request for $5,000 in assistance for continued work on the 37-foot multi-purpose Chalupa and boathouse.
