Traffic alert for Bridge of Lions 5K Run
City spokesman Paul Williamson reported to Historic City News this morning that the planned Bridge of Lions 5K Run, set for Saturday, July 21 at 7:30 a.m., will necessitate brief traffic re-routing along St Augustine’s Bayfront, the Bridge of Lions and on streets throughout Davis Shores on the north side of Anastasia Boulevard.






US Department of the Interior, National Park Service Superintendent Gordie Wilson announced to Historic City News local reporters today that Fort Matanzas National Monument would host two open house meetings for the public to learn about and comment on its Draft General Management Plan.

Former County Commission Chairman Earl Byrd was born in St Johns County on September 17, 1913; he died here this morning, two months shy of his 99th birthday, according to a report from his daughter, Kathy Strickland.
Jazz Society hosts fundraiser
Laurie Sanderson reported the following St. Augustine and St. Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
