Bill Dunn, race organizer, notified Historic City News events reporters that on Sunday, February 27, 2011, the Friends of the Guana-Tolomato-Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve will host a 5K and 10K Trail Run-Walk.
The Second Annual Run-Walk begins at 2:00 p.m. with participants meeting at the trailhead of the Environmental Education Center; located at 505 Guana River Road in South Ponte Vedra Beach.
The event on the 27th will benefit the education, research, and stewardship programs of the Guana River Aquatic Preserve.
The Guana-Tolomato-Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve comprises approximately 73,352 acres of salt marsh and mangrove tidal wetlands, oyster bars, estuarine lagoons, upland habitat and offshore seas in St. Johns County.
