Wade Taylor informed Historic City News local event reporters that the St. Augustine Shrine Club will be hosting an 80’s party on Saturday, February 26th.
Entertainment for this fundraising event will include hit music performed by the group “Motorboat” — with two of the original members of the awesome 1980’s band, Papercutt. The party will take place at the Clubhouse located at 250 Brainard Drive in St Augustine. Call 904-794-1555 for more information.
“Gibby will be spinning and Tony Lippi will be banging the drums,” Taylor told Historic City News. “They are bringing the full laser light show — complete with a fog machine!”
The evening will begin at 6:00 pm with a cocktail hour from our fully stocked bar.
A full dinner will be served at 7:00 pm and then it’s on until you leave.
This is a fundraiser so here are the rules!
1. Donate $20.00 per person or $35.00 per couple to the St. Augustine Shrine Club.
2. Please bring a friend or 5.
3. Everyone must be dressed in 80’s attire.
4. Everyone must be respectful of each other and the Shrine Club.
5. Everyone must be ready to have a blast!
This party will help the St. Augustine Shrine Club put on larger projects later in the year such as Cracker Day and the Great Chowder Debate.
“I have an amazing jump suit complete with white Adidas, big chains, and fedora,” Taylor said. “Bring you’re A-Game ladies and gentlemen!”
