The St. Augustine City Commission will hold a workshop prior to the regularly scheduled Monday, February 28th city commission meeting, according to a notice received at the Historic City News desk.
The workshop will be held in the Alcazar Room at City Hall located at 75 King Street beginning at 3:30 p.m. and will focus on the proposed carriage ordinance which was passed on first reading at the January 24th city commission meeting.
The purpose of the workshop is to allow city commissioners to discuss the ordinance in a meeting that is open to the public; as required by Florida’s Government in the Sunshine Law. Although the public may attend the workshop and observe, the commission will decide, during the meeting, whether to allow the public to speak on the proposed ordinance.
