Florida’s beaches, springs, sprawling forests, high and dry scrub, and shadowy swamps all combine to make Florida a remarkable place to live and visit.
In addition to providing habitat for wildlife, these special places ensure abundant and clean fresh water for humans, and are an important economic engine for our state, attracting ecotourists from around the world.
Join Julie Wraithmell, Audubon of Florida’s Director of Wildlife Conservation, for an overview of how Audubon is working together with local communities to protect these special places… and our very way of life as Floridians.
Chapter meetings are held on the Fourth MONDAY of the month from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the South Ponte Vedra Civic Association Community Center located approximately 7.3 miles north of the Vilano Beach Bridge and 10 miles south of Mickler Road on Coastal Highway A1A. The Community Center is the building just south of the Gate gas station and was the former site of a St. Johns County fire station.
