Jane Sims, publicist and performer of Tale Tellers of St. Augustine announced to Historic City News local reporters that future performances of Theater of the Mind: Storytelling will take place at their new venue — Fort Menendez at the Old Florida Museum.
Beginning with this month’s performance, “Much ado about Stories” on May 17, 2011, enjoy free off-street parking on site while you are entertained by a wide variety of stories in this popular showcase. Showtime is at 7:30 p.m.
The Old Florida Museum is located at 259 San Marco Avenue; at the intersection of Picolata Road (SR-16).
“With the recent closure of our former theatre, we were fortunate to locate a suitable venue on very short notice,” Sims told Historic City News.

The Tale Tellers of St. Augustine, a non-profit organization of cultural and educational orientation, was founded in 1993 to promote the art and perpetuate the tradition of storytelling. Dedicated to community enrichment, the guild promotes the art of storytelling by sponsoring its membership in performance. Guests and new members are invited to meetings, 7 p.m., second Mondays, except July.
