Gullah Geechee Corridor final 2011 meeting

The four-state Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor Commission will hold its final 2011 quarterly meeting at 9:00 a.m. November 11th at Dorchester Academy, located at 8787 East Oglethorpe Highway in Midway, Georgia.

The public is invited.

Highlights will include updates on the Management Plan and the Non-Profit Sustaining Fund Organization.

Upon approval of the Management Plan review by the Commission, plans will be made for conducting a process for public review.

The projected date for submitting the Management Plan to the U.S. Secretary of the Interior is Spring 2012.

Approval of the Commission’s Non-Profit Sustaining Fund Organization, in part, will facilitate fundraising efforts.
