Laurie Sanderson reported the following St. Augustine and St. Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
State Road 16: Daytime lane closures from the Duval County line to Avenida Menendez Monday through Thursday while crews repaint the roadway markings.
State Road 16: Daytime lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday from Turning Point at Calvary Church, located at 3500 State Road 16, to I-95 for construction of a left turn lane at the church. State Road 207: Possible daytime shoulder closures Monday through Friday for delivery of equipment and materials to construct a multi-use trail from the end of the existing trail in Elkton to Armstrong Road.
State Road 207: No lane closures scheduled while crews construct a multi-use trail from Armstrong Road to Old State Road 207 in Spuds.
State Road 207: Daytime lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday from Wildwood Drive to Vermont Heights for drainage inlet cleaning.
State Road 312:Nighttime lane closures Monday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. to install traffic signal detectors in the pavement at S. Plantation Island Drive and at Sgt. Tutten Drive. Also, daytime lane closures Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in both directions to paint new roadway markings.
State Road 312: Possible nighttime lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. from US 1 to Old Moultrie Road for turn lane construction by St. Johns County. Questions may be directed to Project Manager Greg Caldwell in the St. Johns County Engineering Division at (904) 209-0132 orgcaldwell@sjcfl.us.
State Road A1A: Motorists should use caution while driving through the construction area at the Summer Haven bridges. The speed limit in this area is reduced to 40 mph.
State Road A1A: Daytime lane closures from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday from the Bridge of Lions to State Road 312 for drainage inlet cleaning.
State Road A1A: Daytime lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday from State Road 312 to Owens Avenue for asphalt repairs.
State Road A1A: Daytime lane closures from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday on the Usina Bridge (Vilano Beach Bridge) for routine bridge inspection.
State Road A1A: Daytime lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday at the east end of the Usina Bridge (Vilano Beach Bridge) near the intersection with Coastal Highway for asphalt repairs.
State Road A1A: Daytime lane closures from the Flagler County line to Avenida Menendez Monday through Thursday while crews repaint the roadway markings, excluding the construction zone in Summer Haven.
US 1:Daytime lane closures from the Flagler County line to the Duval County line Monday through Thursday while crews repaint the roadway markings, excluding the construction zone at the San Sebastian River Bridge.
US 1: Possible nighttime lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. from State Road 312 to the Health Department driveway for turn lane construction by St. Johns County.
