St Johns County Chamber of Commerce Communications Manager Beau Phillips announced to Historic City News that Senator John Thrasher, Representative Bill Proctor and Florida Chamber of Commerce Vice President Brad Swanson would be the speakers for the Economic Development Council Quarterly Breakfast.
Senator Thrasher and the other speakers will review the recent Florida legislative session during which 25 bills supported by the Florida Chamber, a statewide business advocacy group, were passed when the meeting convenes Thursday, April 5, at 8:00 a.m. in the dining room of the Council on Aging River House; located at 179 Marine Street in St Augustine.
“During a year in which lawmakers faced many distractions, the Florida Legislature ended session without a single new tax, higher fee, new regulation or union-backed mandate,” said Mark Wilson, President and CEO of the Florida Chamber of Commerce.
Admission to the breakfast meeting is $25 for chamber members and guests. Register with Chamber membership manager, Debra Bulak at 904.829.5681.
