Poet and prose writer Glenda Bailey-Mershon will be the featured reader of the sixth gathering the Heart Pour Sunday Matinee, a spoken word series hosted by Chris Bodor from the Outsider Writers Collective. Those interested in sharing a poem or two may sign up to read 15 minutes before start time or any time online at the Ancient City Poet’s web site: www.bodor.org The audience is invited to bring poems relating to women and women’s history, especially to the theme of “Festival of the Muses”. This event, dubbed “Red Silk Sheets and Broken Blossoms, kicks off a month of special readings and art presentations by local organizations in honor of Women’s History Month.
