Cathy DuPont let local St. Augustine news reporters know that the annual La Guardia de Noche, or Spanish Nightwatch, will necessitate intermittent disruptions of traffic in parts of downtown St. Augustine on Saturday, March 13th.
The event begins at the Castillo de San Marcos at 7:30pm and will cross S. Castillo Dr., at Orange St., to the City Gate, then continue south on St. George St., east on Cathedral Pl., south on Charlotte St., west on King St., north on Cordova St. east on Cathedral Pl. to St. George St. and will end on the east side of Government House at approximately 8:30pm.
Areas where traffic will be affected include S. Castillo Dr. and Orange St., for a brief period as the event begins, and King St., Charlotte St., Cathedral Pl., in the vicinity of the Plaza for brief periods between 7:30pm and 8:30pm.
Vehicular traffic should avoid these areas during this time to avoid delays.
