Glenn re-enters battered spouse defense

The Office of State Attorney R J Larizza notified Historic City News in St Augustine today that Elanna Joy Glenn, the 22 year-old Whitney Street woman charged with cruelty toward a child, has indicated that she will resume a “battered-spouse syndrome” defense.

Glenn requested a hearing for Friday, July 13, which has been scheduled for 9:30 a.m. tomorrow before Judge Berger.

A notice has been filed with the court indicating that Glenn will re-enter the defense, which she previously withdrew on July 9th.

Glenn remains in custody in the St Johns County Detention Facility in lieu of $250,000 bond.
