Sgt. Chuck Mulligan reported to local St. Johns County news reporters, confirming the identity of the body found floating in the Intracoastal Waterway last weekend.
Historic City News has been informed that they have recovered the body of Robert Lee Arthaloney II, a white man whose date of birth was reported as June 19, 1961. Arthaloney is originally believed to be from Louisiana but has been living onboard a sailboat docked at a private residence on Porpoise Point.
Mulligan says that the Sheriff’s Office has received several phone calls regarding the victim’s whereabouts.
Although Mulligan says that no foul play is suspected, investigators working the case won’t know more until after the Medical Examiner releases his report; which may be as early as next week.
After the results of the toxicology report are available, the office of Terrence R. Steiner, M.D., is expected to make a conclusion regarding the cause of Arthaloney’s death.
