Historic City News was informed that St Augustine City Commission candidate Bruce Maguire, who has advanced to the General Election runoff November 6, will be available to discuss issues relevant to the Old City South and Lincolnville neighborhoods with his supporters tonight at the Willie Galimore Community Center.
Maguire has said that the issues surrounding residential and commercial interests along Riberia Street, King Street, and others, must be aired — and tonight, Wednesday, October 17, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., he is making himself available to further that discussion.
“I am pleased to announce that the West Augustine Dialogue Committee has endorsed me for St Augustine City Commission Seat 1,” Maguire told Historic City News reporters. “I am very proud of this endorsement because it comes from the neighborhood residents.”
The citizen group, which is made up of community leaders including Deltra Long, Rev Ron Rawls, Greg White, Thomas Harrison and numerous other residents, interviewed both candidates. According to Maguire, they unanimously selected him as their “candidate of choice”.
If you plan to attend tonight’s meet and greet, there will be free parking at the Willie Galimore Center; located at 33 Riberia Street in St Augustine.
